Because time is always a main concern, HMN’s nannies are required to maintain flexibility with regard to scheduling. Because you’ll more than likely prefer responsibilities to extend beyond your own home, our network of nannies is capable of transporting children to and from educational, recreational, and miscellaneous activities, including birthday parties, sports practices and games, neighborhood events, and more.
The Nannies who are placed by House Managers Network wear many hats. Governesses, Private Teachers and Tutors
House Managers Network has an impressive range of professional governesses, private teachers, and tutors with specialized, holistic training. These responsibilities include an emphasis on the child’s understanding of manners and behavior in addition to their developmental requirements. Depending on the household, these roles may include collaboration with the child’s nanny. Specialized topics of education will also be incorporated into the holistic learning curriculum for the child. While the central focus of these roles emphasize the child’s manners and behavior, HMN’s professional governesses, private teachers, and tutors are also qualified to teach a second language, grammar, geography, and the arts.
It’s been said that “the purpose of an education is to replace an empty mind with an open one” and our talented professionals tend to exude a similar outlook. Education is an essential component to success, and we call upon the most personable, skilled educators to provide meaningful private instruction as well as enrichment and curriculum for our clients. Past educational experience is therefore a requirement, preferably in small-classroom settings. Academic content topics may be guided by state and national curriculum and teachers are expected to design a personalized learning plan for the student based on their needs and capabilities. The objective is a rigorous, yet spirited and enjoyable education that should prepare the student for their major milestone examinations. Subjects include science, mathematics, art, music, literature, technology and civics.
Whether teaching the student direct content or study techniques, the objective is to make subjects easier to comprehend and integrate. HMN’s tutors develop assessment criteria to measure your child’s progress. These include pre and post-test that serve to act as a kind of an intellectual before and after document. Subject materials will reflect or exceed the learner’s grade level and curriculum requirements. Topics may vary between mathematics, science, arts, literature, grammar, language and beyond. Many of House Managers Network’s clients will specify a particular subject they would like their child to learn.

Newborn Specialists & Night Nurse
HMN’s specialists provide your newborn with genuine affection as well as delicate attention. From feeding schedules to proper neck support, every detail is handled with the greatest of care to ensure the health and safety of your child. Children between birth and 18 months will be attentively cared for at the schedule desired by the client. There may be a support role with the mother or parents, or the specialist may have full responsibilities of care within limited timeframes. Child care professionals and professionals with medical and clinical backgrounds are highly preferred. The client will determine the scope of the schedule but this is generally a day time position, and exclusively overnight roles can be sought in the “Night Nurse” role.
Assisting families with newborns, infants, and children overnight is an enormous form of support, involving a considerable number of responsibilities. Rest assured, our network of overnight care providers are thoroughly vetted and trained to deliver the highest quality care available. Not all newborn specialists are “night nurses,” but those who are report great pride in the work they perform: Households requiring HMN’s “night nurse” services are that much more happy and productive in their daytime hours and it shows. Full support may be requested to feed, clean, and supervise the children while parents are away or resting. In some cases, support may be requested for particular timeframes, some of which could extend into evening and morning hours. Coordination with the mother will determine the requirements for feeding and meal preparation, sleep scheduling and timely transition for a full night of sleep. Previous experience with childcare is highly preferred, along with a basic knowledge of emergency medical care, triage and mechanical expertise with supportive medical devices.
