**Location:** Hoboken, New Jersey
**Overview:**
We are seeking a nurturing and experienced Part-Time Live-Out Nanny to care for two girls aged 18 months and 3.5 years old in Hoboken, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for children, along with a solid understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities. This position is scheduled for 30 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, and offers a competitive hourly rate of $30-35 per hour.
**Responsibilities:**
1. **Childcare:**
– Provide attentive and loving care to the children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
– Engage the children in age-appropriate activities, including playtime, arts and crafts, and educational games.
– Assist with meal preparation and feeding, following any dietary guidelines provided by the parents.
2. **Transportation:**
– Accompany the children to and from school, as well as any extracurricular activities or appointments.
– Ensure safe and timely transportation using personal or family-provided vehicles.
3. **Educational Support:**
– Foster a stimulating learning environment for the children, incorporating educational materials and activities into their daily routine.
– Support the older child’s academic development by assisting with homework assignments and reinforcing learning concepts.
4. **Routine Maintenance:**
– Maintain cleanliness and organization in children’s living and play areas.
– Assist with children’s laundry and basic household tidying related to childcare.
5. **Communication:**
– Maintain open and regular communication with the parents regarding the children’s activities, progress, and any concerns.
– Collaborate with parents to ensure consistency in caregiving routines and discipline strategies.
**Qualifications:**
– Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a nanny or childcare provider, preferably with toddlers and preschool-aged children.
– Knowledge of child development principles and practices, with the ability to create engaging and age-appropriate activities.
– CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
– Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children and parents.
– Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children.
– Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of the job.
